Screenshots: Haafinheim

I really like the less dense areas.

Are these topics just for screenshots or or discussion as well?
I'm asking because we need to have a forest with huge trees somewhere in skyrim (or else a few models wont make sense), maybe we could have a section full of large trees in Haafinheim? What do you think?

The biggest pine scaled up to 2.0 in the CS has exact to size of the round table at it's lower end.

But we could scale up the bigger trees in NifScope and place some of these giant pines in the sparse area in North-West Haafinheim near the pass to High Rock and say it's a rare sort of pines that came original from High Rock (related to the pines in that area) and they don't grown to close because of their enormous roots....than we could have these giant pines in an area of 20-30 cells.

Are the pine trees long enough as well, for all the log cabin exteriors/interiors too?

I'd like a forest full of big trees myself, I'll get some new tree models made for it if you want though (trees don't take long at all to make in tree[d]).

Aren't they spruces rather than pines?

There will be a middle sized forest of giant pines at the Northshore near Stonehills, between 12-16 cells

Btw there is an area in Skyrim called dragon wood near the Morrowind border, it'd be cool if it had some really big trees in this area.

zackg has redwoods for cyrodiil, so maybe we should make something of similar size (I'm hesitant to ask zackg for too much from his projects, as it takes away the uniqueness of a mod to give things away to other projects imo). It might be wierd if Skyrim didn't have trees as large as cyrodiil (if we want to blend our project with his).

http://www.imperial-library.info/maps/cyrodiillargelowrescr7.jpg Zoom in and look at east Skyrim to find dragon wood (and vernim wood, sounds dumnerish). We wont need to bother with this area for a long time.
I'd like to make the suggestion that we use this map as a guide for certain more lore related parts of Skyrim (arena map isn't topographical really).

I guess we should take any further discussion of this into the landscapes of skyrim thread though.
